D & R specializes in Product Support Analysis (PSA) (also referred to as Integrated Logistics Support (ILS)), the disciplined approach to optimizing the availability of your equipment throughout its life cycle.
Our involvement can begin at a project’s early proposal or design phase, where we contribute to Supportability Strategy and initial support plannings, and continue through deployment, where we assist with validations, verifications, and sustainment operations. We participate in integrated product teams (IPTs), design reviews, and logistics demonstrations to represent the support perspective throughout the process, including:
Database, which serves as the central repository for all equipment data and the results of the supportability analyses described below. This database supports report generation (LSA-019, -024, -036, and many more) that provide the results of the separate analyses conducted.
We perform detailed analyses to determine support requirements for your system. These include, FMECAs, Reliability and Maintainability Predictions, Level of Repair Analysis (LORA), Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) analysis, and more. These analyses define scheduled and unscheduled tasks, identify manpower, tools and resources required, and generate maintenance plans and MACs.
Using the results of the analyses, our team develops and captures the Provisioning Technical Documentation (PTD), which is used to support the assignment of National Stock Numbers (NSNs) to the equipment.
The MTA process identified tasks required, both Operator and Maintainer, which serves as the starting point for the detailed training analysis to follow. Our training personnel conduct needs analysis, develop the material, and can conduct the training sessions when called upon.
The MTA process provides the basis for the development of the Technical Manuals, and the usage of the LPD data improves accuracy and consistency of the manual content, as it is using the same dataset that all preceding analyses used. Our Technical Manual development is discussed further here.
Technical Manual developmentOur documentation process is comprehensive. We can work from raw engineering data (drawings, schematics, bills of materials, etc.) and collaborate with your subject matter experts to gather information.
Contact our team to discuss a custom solution or request a demonstration. We’ll help you modernize your training, documentation, or support workflows.
