3D Modeling and Simulation

Our 3D Modeling and Simulation expertise can assist in the development of 3D models for manufacturing purposes or the development of custom content for training, parts cataloging or other specialized needs. Content can be developed to a fully interactive 3D presentation or simplified to the desired extent. This can be developed from existing engineering data or rendered ahead of the documented design to enable analysis of potential design issues.

The current pace of technology has moved many equipment manufacturers to 3D modeling as their primary engineering tool. D & R can assemble 3D models from many different CAD programs (SolidWorks, AutoDesk, CATIA, Pro/E, Siemans(UGS), etc) and produce customized animations and simulations. 2D CAD drawings can also be converted into 3D models.

These following procedures were built utilizing high-quality Engineering 3D models by D & R’s Digital Graphics Laboratory application. These demo videos represent our fully interactive model environment.

Digital Graphics Laboratory

Circuit Card Removal - Electronics Box

Low-Resolution 720x480 15fps (wmv - 9,381Kb)

High-Resolution 1280x1024 24fps (wmv - 86,231Kb)

Antenna Repair - Military Vehicle

Low-Resolution 720x480 15fps (wmv - 9,381Kb)

High-Resolution 1280x1024 24fps (wmv - 177,235Kb)

Everything that is displayed in these videos was developed by D & R for this presentation. This includes the environment and the 3D engineering models for all the equipment in the animation. D & R specializes in development of 3D animations and simulations that can be used for training, technical manual enhancement and new equipment familiarization.
